Pondok Pesantren Al-Hikamussalafiyyah is an Indonesian Islamic education forum under history of pesantren the auspices of the Mohammad Aliyuddin Islamic Education Foundation. Pondok Pesantren, which was established in 1984, has the aim of educating the Muslim generation to have knowledge and have a noble character. Pondok Pesantren which was founded &led by Al-Mukarram K.H. Mohammad Aliyuddin continues to grow and is always steadfast in religious education services and continues to make students & alumni who serve in the community.

Geographically, Pondok Pesantren Al-Hikamussalafiyyah (PPHS) is located in the west of Sumedang Regency. The distance is approximately 12 km from the city center of Sumedang and more precisely located on Jalan Sukamantri No.85 RT.03 RW.04 Tanjungkerta Sumedang. The community environment around the islamic boarding school consists of farmers, self-employed people, and some civil servants. The economic situation of the surrounding people is the lower middle class. PPHS is also known as pesantren sukamantri. Maybe it's because it's located in Sukamantri Village, so many people call PPHS a sukamantri islamic boarding school.

Generically, the implementation of education at PPHS has a structured vision and mission. His vision is the formation of a generation who are charitable, have scientific charity, have a charitable character, have a Qur'ani spirit, have a devotion & have a global perspective. Its mission is to educate students to have skills in the social sciences, undoubted sciences and Islamic studies. Instilling Islamic religious values well and validly, so that it is deeply embedded in the person &reflected in the behavior of akhlaqul karimah. And instilling and narrating the Qur'an both memorization, understanding and practice as a result can always follow and respond to the times

At first, this pesantren only had a classical Islamic recitation event (yellow book). The place to study it is not yet in the locals of the class. But in the mosque and sometimes the sleep is jua in the mosque because there is no kobong / dormitory. For the sake of jua using the number of students who are still a little bit approximately 25 people. In the past, there were no students who came from the area outside Sukamantri. Most of the children are native to the region, in fact, they are also called kalong students. Santri kalong is just an analogy. Kalong (bat) generally comes out before the magrib & goes to his hiding place before dawn. Likewise with the PPHS students at that time, the students went to the cottage before magrib & went to their homes after dawn.

Along with the time when the existence of PPHS began to be kissed by residents outside the Sukamantri area. Many parents come to pesantren with the intention of ordering their children. So in the early 1990s, the caregivers and their daughters tried to spread this islamic boarding school by creating a number of educational programs, namely: Diniyah Madrasah (Awaliyah, Wustha & Ulya), TKA and TPA, Taklim Assembly, and Tahfidh Madrasah.

Until 2002 an example of a pesantren developed was a traditional salafiyyah pesantren. In mid-2002 one of the sons of the pesantren leader, H. Sa'dulloh, SQ returned to his hometown after wandering to various places to seek knowledge &experience. Since his arrival, the modernization of pesantren began to be carried out. H. Sa'dulloh began to make improvements both in terms of pesantren management as well as from improving the quality &quantity of his educational forums, using non-leave the peculiarities of pesantren, namely printing students who memorized the Qur'an and were good at reading the yellow book.

In 2002 a foundation was created called the Mohammad Aliyuddin Islamic Education foundation. Under the auspices of the foundation he founded in 2003 H. Sa'dulloh assisted by his other brothers founded MTs Plus Al-Hikam, MA Plus Al-Hikam in 2005 &Raudlatul Atfal Al-Hikam in 2007. All of these formal educational institutions combine the national education system using pesantren using the peculiarities of the Tahfidz Qur'an. In addition, economic forums were also established, such as the Al-Hikamussalafiyyah Islamic Boarding School Cooperative, the Santri Al-Hikamussalafiyyah Business Practice Place & the Productive Economic Business of Pesantren. Thanks to the development of the event, the interest of the people to entrust their daughters at the Al-Hikamussalafiyyah Islamic Boarding School has increased. This can be observed according to the increasing number of students who reach more than 500 people.

With the number of students entering so rapidly while the madrasah &dormitory facilities are inadequate, since 2002 the pesantren management led by H. Sa'dulloh and the direction / guidance of KH. Mohammad Aliyuddin together with the residents more or less formed some local madrasas and some local dormitories/kobongs for lodging. This is done to increase the effectiveness of student learning.

With the development of educational vehicles & infrastructure at PPHS, it has an impact on the achievements of students and alumni. Some alumni have established qura'anic education forums both formal and non-formal in some areas. In addition, the achievements of the students of the Al-Hikamussalafiyyah Islamic Boarding School can be viewed based on the participation of the students in the MTQ event starting from the sub-district, district, provincial, national &international levels. Even H. Sa'dulloh and Hj. Mutmainnah are the MHQ 30 Juz international champions in Saudi Arabia & Libya.

In addition to making achievements in the field of the Qur'an, this pesantren student also succeeded in scoring achievements in the fields of speech competitions of various languages, calligraphy competitions, marawis, solawat & barjanji competitions at the Sumedang regency level competition.

Currently, Pondok Pesantren Al-Hikamussalafiyyah manages educational institutions: Raudlatul Athfal Al-Hikam, MTs Plus Al-Hikam, MA Plus Al-Hikam, SMK Al-Hikam, Madrasah Diniyah Ula, Wustha & Ulya, Madrasah Tahfidz Al-Qur'an, and TKA / TPA Al-Hikam. Meanwhile, the activities of pesantren and residents are the Taklim Assembly, the Dhikr and Manaqib assemblies, and the Masail Bahsul Assembly.
