Darul Falah Besongo Islamic Boarding School

The establishment of the Darul Falah Besongo Islamic Boarding School began based on a statement that the challenges of modernity history of pesantren for students were getting bigger. Many students who display their daily activities are not in sync using religious teachings, for example, going out freely, often going home at night at their respective boarding houses, tidying up ethics that do not reflect the manners that still exist in Islamic values. This is very concerning when these students are actually students based on Islamic universities. The ethical system that is less reflective in the Islamic code of ethics, leads to a decline in the image of Islamic students.

This fact ushers in the spirit of improving the morality picture of Islamic students, using the islamic boarding school education model in the community. Pesantren is one of the solutions to form the superiority of morality. In addition, this pesantren is a place to raise the spirituality & intellectuality of students. Therefore, the implementation of pesantran education is widely focused on filling and training spirituality, moral nobility, excellence in knowledge and life skills in order to face the challenges of the times.

Pesantren Darul Falah Besongo was established in 2008. Physically, this pesantren starts from the procurement of boarding houses that accommodate students who live. This boarding house is relatively simple using housing facilities that are as is, which does not describe educational vehicles. In the next development, physical arrangements began to be carried out that supported the implementation of education, for example pesantren.

From year to year the development is accelerating rapidly, both based on the number of students, the physical building and the activities of students gradually increasing &amplifying. This islamic boarding school building in 2008 was only a building in the form of a one-story house using a total of five rooms. It often runs when, in 2009 the building was renovated as 3 floors containing 8 rooms, 1 halaqoh room & 1 hall. However, as the students grew, the building was renovated again into three floors containing 13 rooms, & 1 hall space that was so spacious for the center of student activities.

Now the Darul Falah Besong islamic boarding school is able to change the "image" of the princess boarding house which is a boarding school that is committed to akhlakul karimah life skills and religious insight. Darul Falah Besongo is attached in the name of the lodge as the tafa'ul of the Darul Falah Jekulo Kudus boarding school. Because in fact, Ponpes Darul Falah belongs to Father KH. Ahmad Basyir Jekulo Kudus (caretaker of Ponpes Darul Falah Jekulo Kudus). Ponpes Darul Falah Be-Songo was taken care of by his son-in-law, namely Prof. Dr. KH. Imam Taufiq, M.Ag, husband of Mrs. Dr. Hj. Arikhah, M.Ag, who lives in the commercial bank housing complex C-13 as well as the rector of UIN Walisongo Semarang.

Historically, besongo was a historical venue for the development of religion and science. Before as a Darul Falah Be-songo islamic boarding school, in 1997-2000, this place was once a center for Islamic student activities using the name Raisyan Fikr, which was a place for study and discussion of students of the Faculty of Ushuluddin IAIN Walisongo Semarang. After that, in 2001-2005 as a pesantren "Bismillah" under the care of Habiburrahman Sirazy, he was the author of Islamic Novels, including Novel Ayat-Ayat Cinta, Saat Cinta Bertasbih &others.

Currently, the place that has historical value has changed as a Darul Falah Be-Songo islamic boarding school which has extraordinary hope in producing the character of students in making their life skills to prepare themselves in the future. The next development is Prof. Dr. KH. Imam Taufiq, M.Ag worked with Dr. Muhyar Fanani M. Ag to revive the pesantren as a result of which the number of students increased and the place of student dormitory was added & located in Block C-9.

The increase in students who registered to study at this islamic boarding school in 2012 made the caregivers take the initiative to add cottage buildings. With the condition of the pesantren area located in housing, it is not possible to expand the cottage building, as a result of which the addition of buildings is located in unequal locations in the same housing, namely in Block A-7. This building was built using 3 floors consisting of 1 hall and 7 rooms. In addition, in early 2013, one more building was added, located in Block B-5 which is a mandate from the error of a nanny partner named Mr. Yoga Sadana, a director at Cimb-Niaga Jakarta. The two-story house consisting of five rooms & 1 hall was previously a boarding house for students, because the boarding house children who could not take care of the house earlier, finally Mr. Yoga Sadana took the initiative to give honesty to the cottage caregivers to manage the house as part of the Besongo Islamic Boarding School.

Further developments, in early October 2013 Pesantren Besongo received honestly managing Ulama Cadre Education (PKU) according to the Directorate General of Diniyah Education & Pesantren of the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia. This educational design is an integration of examples of salaf boarding schools using university-style scientific education. Pesantren Besongo was chosen because it has an educational model and peculiarities in the management of pesantren. The educational model is characterized by the lively activity based on the study of the yellow book of language and skills. In addition, the strong development of skills for students is also the character of this Pesantren. With a dormitory model that circulates at some point, making Pesantren able to seed the value of membership in the residential environment that is the location of this cottage.

Until now, the development of the Darul Falah Be-songo Islamic Boarding School has increased. Starting from the addition of dormitories in block B which includes B17, B6, and B13.

With the variety of education &studies in pesantren, Besongo is one of the youngest pesantren who delivers his students to become capable human beings, have noble character and have qualified religious insight & knowledge. It is hoped that later it will form students & alumni who are beneficial to the religious nation and society with a firm grip in Islamic values that are quiet, polite & egalitarian.
