Leadership of RKH Abd Majid lasted for 14 years starting from 1943 AD to 1957 AD. During his leadership he studied at the Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata Islamic Boarding School in the form of book recitation with a sorogan system. At that time, formal education was not yet established with the number of students reaching 700 students. He Died in 6 Shawal 1364 H / 1957 AD.

After the death of RKH Abd Majid, Pondok Pesantren Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata experienced a leadership vacuum for two years (1957–1959 AD). This is because his son, RKH Abd Qadir is still studying in Mecca. Meanwhile, his son-in-law, RKH Ahmad Mahfudz Zayyadi (Father of RKH Abd Hamid, the fourth caregiver) has settled at the Nurul Abror Islamic Boarding School, Alasbuluh, Wongsorejo, Banyuwangi. In fact, this relatively obsolete void resulted in the location of the poly boarding school being overgrown with grass up to knee level. To fill that void, RKH Abd. Hamid Bakir (Putera RKH Abd Majid, caretaker of BANYUANYAR PP) returned home banyuanyar-Bata-Bata to provide training in two islamic boarding schools at once.

In 1959 AD, RKH Abd Qadir left Mecca to continue his leadership at the Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata Islamic Boarding School. However, his leadership did not become obsolete because in the same year, precisely in the l5 August 1959 staircase he returned to rahmatullah. This led to a leadership vacuum for the second time for the Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata Islamic Boarding School.

Then, in order to continue the leadership of the pesantren, the big family of the pesantren asked for the willingness of RKH. Ahmad Mahfudz Zayyadi who for 12 years lived in the Nurul Abror Islamic Boarding School banyuwangi to go to Bata-Bata and was willing as a caregiver. Finally, he was pleased to lead the Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata Islamic Boarding School. RKH leadership. Ahmad Mahfudz Zayyadi lasted for + 26 years (1959-1986 AD). He died on Wednesday 12 Ramadlan 1407 H/1986 AD.

Finally, since 1987 until now the leadership of the Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata Islamic Boarding School has been continued by RKH. Abd. Hamid Ahmad Mahfudz Zayyadi. Before becoming a caregiver, he studied at the Sidogiri Islamic Boarding School, Pasuruan for 7 years and continued to Mecca for 12 years under the care of grand scholars including: Sayyid Muhammad Amin Kuthbi, Sayyid Alawi al-Maliki, Sayyid Muhammad Hasan al-Yamani, Sayyid Hasan al-Masysyath, Sheikh Yasin bin Isa al-Padangi, Sheikh Abdullah al-Lahji and Sheikh Ismail bin Zain al-Yamani and Sheikh Abdul Hamid al-Kaf.

The Birth of Formal Educational Institutions

During the leadership of the RKH. Ahmad Mahfudz Zayyadi, Pondok Pesantren Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata experienced relatively rapid development, especially in the pattern of managing & organizing teaching and learning activities using the classical (classroom) system. In 1959 AD, he founded the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI). However, in the beginning, formal education which was established at the Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata Islamic Boarding School was a homogeneous educational institution that specialized its teaching and learning activities in diniyah learning until it was finally known as Madrasah B.

Given the development of the times that are increasingly advanced, the managers of the forum which is listed as a formal institution seeks the formalization of MI Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata. The effort was successful in using the issuance of a circular letter from the Directorate General of Islamic Religious Institutional Education and the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia with the Madrasah charter number: Lm/3/4047/1978 dated March 21, 1978. So madrasah Ibtidaiyah Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata officially became one of the organizers of formal education.

After the establishment of MI Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata in the neighborhood of Pondok Pesantren Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata, The Caretaker of Pondok Pesantren Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata, RKH. Ahmad Mahfudz Zayyadi took the initiative to establish a formal forum to be the continuation of the level of MI Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata, so that graduate students according to the basic level can continue their formal education to a higher level. Finally, in 1970 madrasah Tsanawiyah was established.

In line with the development of the times, which at first MTs Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata only held diniyah education, but in the end MTs Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata was officially registered as a madrasa that was entitled according to the rules to organize education and pedagogy in the release of February 15, 1985 with decree numbers. L.m./three/892/B/1985. This is evidenced by the emergence of a madrasa charter issued by the Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of East Java Province.

Gradually, significant developments began to appear the completion of the establishment of MTs Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata which by rule has become a formal forum. This was even more apparent when MTs Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata participated in the accreditation level event by receiving recognized status on January 25, 1995 using SK. Number: Wm.06.03/PP.03.dua/000263/SKP/1995 and Madrasa statistical number (NSM) 21.dua.35.28.07.034,

As the standard budget for the implementation of formal education, the mandatory accreditation level is always updated every 5 years, as a result of which on January 14, history of pesantren 1999, MTs Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata again obtained an accreditation charter with the achievement of the same status, namely being recognized using a decree. Number: Wm.06.03.2/115/SKP/1999. In 2008 MTs Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata Panaan Palengaan Pamekasan participated in madrasah accreditation &successfully received an A accreditation score from BAN (National Accreditation Board) using SK. Dp. 008352 number. The achievement of accreditation using an A rating was again achieved by MTs Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata in 2013 with a score of 89.

Not stopping there, the development of formal education at the Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata Islamic Boarding School, which is known for using the abbreviation MUBA, continues at a higher level, namely Madrasah Aliyah, becoming an advanced level for students who graduate according to the MTs level, so that students who finish their education at the junior high level can continue their education at the upper secondary level. On that basis in 1977 MA Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata was officially established formally initiated by RKH. Abd. Hamid AM, who was the eldest son of RKH. Ahmad Mahfud Zayyadi.

As with the 2 formal education forums that were established before, teaching and learning activities at MA Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata in the beginning of its establishment were only diniyah learning (Madrasah B). But gradually this educational curriculum was always developed by including generic lessons in it.

On July 1, 2011, SMK (Vocational High School) Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata was officially opened with 3 spectrums / expertise events, namely the Light Vehicle Automotive Technical Spectrum, Motorcycle Automotive Engineering Spectrum & Audio Video Electronics Engineering Spectrum. The selection of spectrum / expertise program at SMK Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata based on the output of the department poll conducted on May 27, 2011 using respondents of class IX MTs Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata students totaling 720 students.
