AL HIKAM 30th WISDOM (All by Allah's Destiny)
30th WISDOM (All by Allah's Destiny)
Bismillahirrahmaanirrahiim
Assalamualaikum wr. wb
مامنْ نفسٍ تـُبْدِيه الاَ ولهُ قدرٌ فيكَ يُمضيهِ
"Those who have vast wealth, should donate according to their ability. This is addressed to those who have reached Allah."
"And for those whose sustenance is still limited, then he should donate what Allah has given him. This is for those who are on their way to Allah."
That is, Ibn Athaillah made a metaphor: People who have arrived at Allah are likened to a rich person, while those who are still walking towards Allah are likened to people whose sustenance is still narrowed. So, both must act according to their status. The rich donate according to the breadth of their sustenance, the poor donate as much as they can.
Likewise, those who have arrived at Allah and those who have not. There are different things that each must do.
In Hikmah 29 , Ibn Athaillah distinguishes between people who make Allah a proof for the existence of creatures and those who make the existence of creatures as a proof for the existence of Allah. And Ibn Athaillah has also explained how far the degrees between the two types of people.
In Wisdom 30, he gives notes and explanations that both types of people are equally good. Then Ibn Athaillah explained, that people who have arrived at Allah, who have known Him without using nature as a proof. This type of person is in accordance with the word of Allah: "People who have wealth should give according to their breadth."
Charity here is nothing but an expression of gratitude to Allah. The way to be grateful for rich people is to give a lot. Now, as well as those who have come to God, who have known God, he must also give thanks to God. How to be grateful for people who have arrived at Allah, by fulfilling all the rights of Allah, preaching, and instilling the love of Allah in their hearts.
As for the person who has not arrived at Allah, is still walking towards Allah and still does not know Him, then he still needs to take the existence of this world as evidence for the existence of Allah. He still needs an argument that can subdue his heart and mind. He needed the arguments and arguments so that he knew and arrived at Allah. As a result, this type of person is still trying to get to God.
Well, this second type of person by Ibn Athaillah is adapted to the continuation of the verse above, namely:
"Whoever is short of sustenance, let him donate what Allah has given him."
So even though the sustenance of this poor person is not much, he must also be grateful to Allah, by giving as much as he can. Now, people who are walking to God, who have not come to Him and do not know Him, must also thank God, how? Of course, by trying his best to cleanse the soul, fight lust, and everything that gets in the way of the way to Allah. This person must also continue to strengthen the evidence of Allah's power, evidence of aqli and kauni, until finally he can arrive at Allah as well.
But even though the two types of people had different fates and different classes, both of them were still the same good, even though the 1st arrived at God quickly, the 2nd was still on a long journey, but both of them finally got to know God. The two types of people, although in different ways, have obtained the blessings of makrifat to Allah. Is there a greater blessing than that? There isn't any! So either God made you know Him without needing proof, or still with some evidence. Both are still to be grateful for. So, people like us, who still need evidences and proofs to know Allah, regarding the existence of Allah, His qudariats, etc., if after that we succeed, then we have to leave the business of those arguments and evidences. . Don't just play around with it. After we know and know that Allah is Almighty, All-Powerful, All-Wise, All-Torturing, All-Forgiving, etc. So after that we must immediately act, do charity, worship, draw closer to Him, try to reach His love and pleasure
If after knowing Allah with various evidences and propositions, but we do not move from fiddling with the evidence, experimenting continuously, it means that we are just playing around in the same place and will never arrive at the goal, namely reaching forgiveness, Love, and the pleasure of Allah.
Thus the description of Wisdom 30.
