Al Hikam Wisdom 22

"ما من نفس تبديه إلا وله قدر فيك يمضيه"

"Every breath you take, cannot be separated from the record of destiny that must be lived."

Breath is air that is inhaled in the chest, then exhaled out. Composed of attraction and impact. Human life is actually a collection of breaths, so that he can move, talk and work in the vastness of the air he breathes. In this wisdom, Ibn Athaillah seemed to say, "Do you know that every movement of the body, how big or small, whether it is vague, so that it is in the grip of Allah's qadha and qadar, every inhale and exhale has been recorded in God's record."

HR Muslim and Ahmad from Abdullah bin Umar became the basis of this Wisdom-22. That is;

 (كل العجز الكيس)

So understanding and believing in the nature of destiny is very important in the construction of the Islamic faith. The deeper it goes, the stronger the faith. What is the impact that a person feels by understanding the nature of qadar (destiny)? The answer is clear, he is increasingly enjoying the flow of life. Why? The previous conclusion explains, that humans need to work for survival, but should not depend on charitable work. The 'work' that is done every day is only intended as an effort to maintain ethics with God to submit to the rules that have been outlined.

A true Muslim rises to seek sustenance by working, if successful he praises Allah, fully convinced that what he receives is a gift. But if it doesn't work, a true Muslim is not sad, but surrenders and believes that everything is according to destiny and Allah's knowledge.

Someone who knows the nature of destiny, dares to do anything at any risk, so that he sacrifices in the way of Allah with his soul, body and even property. Because he felt, everything that was written in the Sijjil (God's record) would inevitably happen. Well done with laziness / full of sacrifice.

As a result, Muslims who have this kind of belief always measure it by the standards of the Shari'a every time they do something. Well, it is this spirit that the friends of the Apostle continue to inflame, especially in expanding the da'wah of Islam, in the realm of ideology and civilization.

So many of them the Prophet's companions appeared as uswah in the tireless da'wah struggle and did not care about the risks. We must be wondering about the secret that motivates our friends to sacrifice in such a way for the sake of religion, right? Surely we will find the answer because of two things, first because they always hold fast to God's commands and rules. Second, because they don't care and don't want to be bothered by various worries that don't necessarily happen. They accept whatever it is. So why don't they want to bother with all that? Of course, because of deep belief that what will be faced is according to God's destiny.

Therefore, we know that everything that is intertwined in human life, whether effort or not, is a reflection of destiny. Unfortunately, many Muslims are shallow in their understanding of the true meaning of destiny, which is actually the basic foundation of religion.

For example, many young people say, "Matt in God's hands", without knowing the nature and meaning of the sentences they say. They do not understand the phrase "mate in the hands of God" in relation to qadha and qadar. So it is often misunderstood. So responding to the sentence "Matt in God's hands", there are some who then relax, waiting for the time to meet and surrender to the situation. We must be able to place qada and qadar in a neat and proportionate manner in relation to the perception of a mate that is prone to be misinterpreted.

For that we need to first outline what qada means and what qadar means, and how the position of the two is in the context of a mate. Qadha is Allah's knowledge (knowledge) of everything that will happen in the future regarding one's efforts. Qadar is the realization of Allah's knowledge to realize something on time which is recorded in the knowledge record in qadha.

Allah knows that so and so has a match with Siti (for example) and both will marry on that day, date and year, this knowledge is called qadha. The marriage of so and so and Siti at the appointed time is called qadar. So qadha = knowledge of Allah, qadar = realization of that knowledge. What has just been explained is just a small example of how to understand qada and qadar.

After we know that making up is nothing but a manifestation of Allah's knowledge, then we understand that making up has nothing to do with human endeavor. Here are 2 things that are covered by Allah's knowledge.

Character development beyond human endeavor.

Activities that depend on effort.

 -------------------------

The character in question is like human growth from birth to adulthood. These are things that have nothing to do with effort.

Activities that move human work according to the skills and talents they have, and very much depend on how far they try.

One is the embodiment of character and the origin of creation, the second is a space that requires one's efforts and efforts. Then the big problem faced by Muslims today is that they tend to understand religion with blind faith, which is dangerous and ducks without evidence.

Not many are moved to equip themselves with knowledge and knowledge as an effort to navigate a better and more focused life. Finally, there are many ridiculous statements about the ideological basis of religion that really don't need to be discussed.

We take the example, "If Allah knows (from a long time ago) that I will commit a sin, it means that Allah is the one who caused me to sin!". Astaghfirullah, this kind of blunder statement does not deserve to be lodged in the heart of a Muslim because it only shows the shallowness of knowledge. Think about it! Is it when a father finds out that the child's abilities are below average and certainly does not pass the test, then the child says; "If you know that I failed, it means that you are blocking me from passing the exam!". Can this child's claim be justified? Certainly not. Because after all, the father's knowledge of the child's ability does not affect the things that need to be addressed and followed up by the child.

Likewise with the concept of divinity. God gave us reason then we try, learn and try to improve the quality of life. It's not because Allah knows someone will succeed or fail that affects success or failure. It's attitude and ability.
