Al Hikam Wisdom 29
29th WISDOM (Do not accuse Allah)
Bismillahirrahmaanirrahiim
Assalamualaikum wr. wb
"It is very different between those who make Allah a proof (the existence of the world), and those who make the world a proof (the existence of Allah)"
"A person who makes Allah a proof for the existence of the world, it means that he has placed his rights correctly. Allah is the origin of the guide."
"Meanwhile, those who make the world a proof for the existence of Allah indicate that they are not close to Allah."
"Since when did God disappear from his sight, that he had to make the world an intermediary to know God?"
"When did Allah move away from him, so that he used the world as a means to get closer to Allah?"
This wisdom teaches us to make God the main goal. Create motivation to live, so that the remaining age is not wasted. In short, there are two different ways of seeing God. That is the view of the common people and those who are close to Allah (Muqarrabin).
We first discuss the point of view of ordinary people . Namely "Those who make the world as a proof of the existence of Allah". In the eyes of ordinary people, the order of the world is so beautiful and very orderly is proof of the existence of a single creator, namely Allah. In order to know the abstract, they must first see the real. If you want to know God, you must first see His creatures.
This is the logic we normally use. By witnessing Allah's most beautiful creations, one can get to know Allah better. Our minds and eyes are accustomed to using all the objects around us as a means to know God. This is how ordinary people think.
Al-Buthi said, this method is a wrong style of view. The truth is that we should know God first, then know creatures. The lay view is more complacent with the beauty of the world, to the point of forgetting the greatness of God. After all, God created this world. Yet again, being able to know and get closer to God is a blessing from the divine light that God bestows on us. Not with our pure mind. If it can be likened, we are like people who are walking in the dark night carrying a lamp for lighting. With this light, the person can see everything around him. Chairs, tables and other furniture, can be seen clearly.
The question is: what is the main essence that allows him to see? Lights or objects around it? The answer is clear light. So it is with God. God is the one who makes this world clear. It is not the world that explains the existence of God. This kind of perspective was blamed on al-Buthi earlier.
Okay, if it's clear, we move to the second point of view , the Muqarrabin people. The Muqarrabins are people who have come to know Allah closely. In their view, the existence of this world is not real. In their minds and hearts there is only God. They have been intoxicated by the glare of the divine light (Qur'an 24:35). God covers everything.
Allah (Giver) light (to) the heavens and the earth. The parable of Allah's light is like an impenetrable hole, in which is a large lamp. The lamp in the glass (and) the glass is like a star (which shines) like pearls, which are lit with oil from a blessed tree, (ie) an olive tree that grows neither in the east (something) nor in the west. (him), whose oil (alone) is almost illuminating, even though the fire does not touch it. Light upon light (in layers), Allah guides to His light whom He wills, and Allah sets forth parables for mankind, and Allah is Knower of all things.
Then is it possible that we can match their amazing perspective? The answer is, of course you can. But it takes extra effort. In addition, he also needs a solid heart as he prays non-stop hoping to Allah so that all wishes will quickly come true. But the most severe trials will be experienced by people who do not know Allah, never know the verses of Allah and all things about Allah. His eyes are already blind to things related to Allah. It's really a loss for people like this.
Yet the evidence that shows God is scattered around him. He has done important research. He is well acquainted with this universe. Dealing with this kind of person is very difficult. All efforts have been maximized, but to no avail. Zero. Then what is the solution?
Al-Buthi said, yes, just pray for that person. May Allah guide him. Not knowing God from the start, sometimes difficult to direct. Back to the original discussion. That every effort made will not be in vain. Everything must have a value of worship. Even though at first our views are like the views of ordinary people, it does not mean that we cannot reach the status of the Muqarrabin people. Not.
Hard efforts and continuous observations made can only bring us to be people who are close to Allah (Muqarrabin). Amen... In fact, Allah supports His servants to always try hard to get closer to Him. Allah mentions this in QS 29:69.
And those who strive for (seeking our pleasure), We will surely show them Our ways. And verily Allah is with those who do good.
