THE BOOK OF AL-HIKAM 15 : HIJAB WITH GOD

According to Kalam Hikmah 15, Imam Ibnu Athaillah Askandary 

" AMONG THE GREAT SIGNS OF GOD'S POWER IS THAT HE PREVENTS YOU FROM SEEING HIM WITH A HIJAB THAT IS NOT WITH HIM" 

The lesson that can be taken from this wisdom: Everything in the universe receives light from God swt ,Allah created the universe and He is the one who gives light. As far as the eye can see, everything we see is a reflection of the light given by Allah swt, the light will lead us to the source of light. Light will lead us to God. A person who witnesses the greatness and beauty of the universe but does not feel the majesty of God is like a person who walks under the heat of the sun but does not feel the presence of the sun...                       

If we have realized that everything that exists, everything that we feel, everything that we see, is a reflection of the light given by Allah swt then what prevents us from Him?

What often prevents people from God is something that exists in the human being, not something that exists in God. Pride is one of the things that keep us from God, indifference is what keeps us from God, it is our greed that keeps us away from the light of God.

* 4 things that hinder us from God:

   1. Ignorance / stupidity due to lack of knowledge.

        Can be deleted by seeking knowledge from knowledge councils.

  2. Bad manners: arrogant, stingy, envious..... .

        Trying to improve bad morals to better

        ones.

  3, Continuous sin and vice.

       Repent and repent always.

  4. Negligence with the worldly.

       Do a lot of zikr and remember Allah.
