Al Hikam Wisdom 5

 إِجْتِهَادُكَ فِيْمَْا ضُمِنَ لَكَ وَتَقْصِِيْرُكَ فِيْمَا طُلِبَ مِنْكَ دَلِيْلٌ عَلَى إِنْطِمَاسِ الْبَصِيْرَةِ مِنْكَ

It means : 

Your persistence in trying to get what has been guaranteed for you, in addition to your negligence on the things that are required of you, is a testament to the erasure of the eyes of the heart from you.

Explanation

 The eyes of the heart are the eyes of the heart or the ability of the heart to recognize what is owned by the heart. The inner side possessed by every human being has a form, namely the heart or heart. The heart that is meant here is not a lump of flesh or a clot of blood contained in the human body. It is a spiritual heart, not a material matter but a supernatural thing called Latifah Rabbaniyah or God's Secret. If the heart is clean and pure then he can know God, because the heart is the center of the Spirit, while the Spirit is God's business.

The external eye functions to see, recognize and distinguish things that are real and concrete, while the heart eye functions to recognize the nature of everything that the external eye sees.

The eyes of the heart that can only see material things, then he is still veiled. While the eyes of the heart can reveal the meaning and essence of everything and return to God, that's where the eyes of the heart can see.

God's word in letters; Al-Mukmin: 13 which means,

He is the one who shows you the signs (of His power) and sends down sustenance for you from the sky. And no one gets a lesson except those who return (to Allah)
