Wisdom - 6 Meanings of Prayer
Al Hikam Wisdom - 6
It means
Don't let the slowness of God's gift when you have earnestly prayed cause you to despair. Because God has guaranteed to grant all prayers, according to what He chooses for you, not according to your will, at the time determined by Him not the time you determine.
Explanation
Prayer is a request and request that we hope to God, as well as a command of God because prayer is worship. As the Prophet, peace be upon him, said, "Prayer is the brain of worship".
It is not difficult for God to grant what we ask for. If God gives all that is in heaven and earth, it will not reduce the wealth of God swt. Similarly, if God withholds His gifts, it will not increase His wealth and glory.
So the problem of giving or withholding will not affect the divinity of Allah swt . The divinity
of Allah is absolute, not affected by the will, desires, prayers and practices of His servants.
Word of God ; Surah Ibrahim: 27 which means
And God has the power to do what He wills
Word of God ; Surat Al Anbiya: 23 which means,
He is not asked about what He has done, and they are the ones who will be asked.
Prayer is the submission of a servant to God, not a demand.
So with prayer we surrender everything to God's affairs, in whose hands are all things. So we must realize that what we like is not necessarily good for us, nor is what we don't like necessarily bad for us. Because He is the All-Merciful, All-Merciful, All-Knowing God.
