1. The Glory of Hasan Bin Ali
Hasan bin Ali bin Abi Talib is the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad who is very loved by Muslims. He was like a gem in his lifetime, because he had a noble and commendable character.
One day Hasan was sitting in front of his door. Suddenly a young Arab Bedouin came. Then, the unknown young man berated Hasan Bin Ali and also his parents.
Surprisingly, Hasan Bin Ali only listened without replying to the Bedouin youth's insults.
After the young Bedouin was satisfied with cursing, Hasan said to the young man, "O Bedouin, are you hungry or thirsty?" Is there something bothering you?" he asked kindly.
Ignoring Hasan's words just now, the Bedouin young man cursed Hasan Bin Ali even more loudly.
Then Hasan ordered his housekeeper to bring some silver. Then he gave it to the Bedouin youth. "O Bedouin, forgive me!" This is what I have." Hasan said softly and sympathetically.
Finally, Hasan Bin Ali's sympathetic attitude and gentle service managed to melt the heart of the Bedouin youth. He sobbed, then prostrated himself at Hasan's feet.
"O grandson of the Messenger of Allah, forgive me for being rude to you. Actually, I deliberately did this to test the goodness of your character as the grandson of the Apostle that I love. Now I can be sure that you have a noble character," said the Bedouin young man while crying. .
2. Zunairah's steadfast faith
One of the slaves of Muslim asadah Zunairah, Abu Jahal's slave. Because of his faith in Islam, he was asked by Abu Jahal, "Is it true that you have embraced Islam?"
"That's right. I believe in the call of Muhammad SAW. That's why I followed him," replied Zunairah.
To shake the belief of his slave, Abu Jahal asked his friends.
"Hey, my friends! Are you also following Muhammad's call?"
"Not!" they answered in unison.
"Well, if what Muhammad brought was good, of course they would have followed him before you were just a slave!" said Abu Jahal harassing his servant.
Later, Zunairah was brutally persecuted until her eyes were badly injured and eventually became blind.
"Your eyes are blind because you converted to Islam. Try if you want to leave the religion of Muhammad, your eyes will heal again," persuaded Abu Jahal.
How hurt Zunairah heard her employer's humiliation. "All of you are liars, immoral! Latta and Uzza that you worship can not do anything. Moreover, it provides benefits and harm!" he said.
Hearing this, Abu Jahal got even more angry. So, Zunairah was beaten as hard as she could while shouting loudly, "O Zunairah, remember Latta and Uzza. They are idols we have worshiped since our ancestors. Aren't you afraid that they will be angry with you? Leave the religion of Muhammad that abuses us immediately!"
"O Abu Jahal, actually, Latta and Uzza are blind. Blinder than my eyes are blind due to this torment of yours. Even though my eyes are blind, Allah SWT will not find it difficult to restore them to light, unlike your god Latta and Uzza," answered Zunairah firmly.
Thanks to the power of Allah SWT, the next morning, Zunairah's eyes, which were blind due to Abu Jahal's torture, recovered as usual. Abu Jahal who saw it was very surprised.
However, Abu Jahal remained in disbelief. He even ignored evidence of the truth of Zunairah being tortured by her employer. So, Abu Bakr immediately redeemed Zunairah from Abu Jahal and freed him as an independent human being.
3. Good beliefs and prejudices
Once upon a time, there was a student who longed for a teacher who taught him to get closer to Allah SWT. Despite all his efforts, he also has not succeeded in finding the teacher he desires.
One day, someone told him that he would not find a teacher who could teach him to be closer to Allah, except for Fulan bin Fulan who lived in a city.
He then left for the city. After arriving there, he asked where Fulan bin Fulan lived. Residents around the city showed him a man who had a bad temper and liked to be immoral. He went to the man's house and knocked on the door.
"Who?" asked the landlord.
"Abdullah," he replied.
Incidentally Fulan bin Fulan was waiting for the person whose name was the same as the student. They promised to party and drink. He then opened the door because he thought the guest was his friend.
The student entered the house. When he saw the face of the owner of the house, he sat down on his knees and cried. The meeting with his teacher-to-be was so touching that he didn't notice the liquor that was there.
"What happened to you?" asked the astonished homeowner.
"I want you to teach me to get closer to Allah SWT. I have tried to find a teacher, but can't find anyone other than Master," said the student.
Wanting to be free from Abdullah immediately, the man said casually, "Go to place A, under mountain B! There, you will find water. Perform ablution with that water! Then, worship there until Allah SWT gives you help!"
Then, the student immediately carried out the teacher's orders. He worshiped earnestly until finally Allah SWT gave him help. After that, he just found out that the person who had been considered his teacher was a bad tempered and immoral person.
He also began to be known by many people. His piety became the byword of society. People started coming to study. The longer, the more. Until one day, he fell ill. When his illness got worse, his students asked, "Teacher, who will you take in your place, if the teacher dies?"
"Fulan bin Fulan who likes to be immoral. Therefore, pray that before I die, Allah SWT changes his situation by giving him instructions! Because, in fact I would not be a teacher if not for him."
Allah SWT also answered their prayers . The man repents and becomes a disciple of his former student. He tried to really get closer to Allah SWT under the guidance of his teacher. After the death of the teacher, he was trusted to replace his position as a teacher for his students.
