Islamic Inspirational Stories About Life in Islam

1. The Grandpa And The Papaya Thief

This Islamic inspirational story tells about the life of a grandfather who lived a simple life and became a simple villager. One day he found a papaya tree that was bearing fruit in front of his house, but only a few fruits were ready to be harvested. The next day, when he tried to pick the fruit, he found that someone had stolen the fruit. The grandfather looked depressed because of the papaya and his wife was sad and surprised by this.

But apparently the old man wondered how hard it would be for the one who stole it, he had to hide in the middle of the night so as not to be found out, and had to struggle to climb up in the dark to retrieve it. The next day, the old man deliberately borrowed a ladder and put it under a tree in case the thief came back. But the next day, grandfather still found papaya fruit there. The stairs didn't move an inch, and Grandpa tried to be patient and wanted the thief to come back like that night.

But the next day, the papaya fruit was still there. In the afternoon, someone visited Grandpa's house and he had some big papayas in his hands. He was a young man who had never been seen before. Simply put, after a long conversation and when the young man was about to say goodbye, the young man regretted and confessed that he had stolen the papaya.

“Actually, I wanted to get the rest of the papaya fruit the next night, but when I looked at the stairs, I saw that I was impressed by the kindness of the tree owner with his hospitality and patience.” Since then, he decided not to steal anymore, but he returned his grandfather's papaya to make up for it and bought his own papaya at the market.

2. Blind eyes but not blind heart

This story tells of a buyer who asked a cracker dealer for change saying, "Sir, I don't think I will give money, but I will take 10,000 change, are you afraid of losing?" The cracker seller replied gently, "God doesn't exchange food, son, the food has been arranged by him, if I lose now, God will still prepare other food for me. I believe."

As soon as he heard the cracker seller's answer the buyer trembled and Allah gave the cracker seller more money to feed the young man who bought it. Wealth never changes.

3. Praying for Others

On a historic night in the last third of the night, Sayyidah Fatimah RA, the beloved daughter of Rasulullah SAW, prayed at night at her house. Sometimes he spent the night with Qiyamul Rail and prayed. Sayyidina Hasan often listens to his mother's prayers.

One morning, when Sayyidah Fatimah finished praying, Sayyidina Hasan asked RA Sayyidah Fatimah gently replied, “Son, pray for your neighbor first. When the angels hear you pray for your neighbors, they pray for you. Is there anything better than the prayers of the angels near our Lord, namely Allah SWT?"
