Mahfudzot Class 2 KMI Gontor and its Meaning and Explanation (Part 8)

Tawadhu' – Humble 2

**************************

Be humble! then you will be like a visible star

On the surface of the water, however (actually) he is in a high position

And don't be like smoke that soars high by itself

To the atmospheric layer but (actually) it is in a low position

Syarah / Explanation and Conclusion:

********************************************

Stars and Smoke is an apt parable for the humble and the proud. A humble person is likened to a star whose shadow is sometimes seen on the surface of the water, but in fact the star is in a very high position. As for the arrogant person, it is likened to smoke that looks high up into the sky, but actually no matter how high the clouds are, they will not be able to match the height of the stars.
