التَّوَاضُعُ

Tawadhu' – Humble

تَوَاضَعْ إِذَا مَا نِلْتَ فِي النَّاسِ رِفْعَةً # فَإِنَّ رَفِيْعَ الْقَوْمِ مَنْ يَتَوَاضَعْ

Be humble when you get a position among people

Because verily people who are high in a people are the ones who are humble

تَوَاضَعْ إِذَا مَا كَانَ قَدْرُكَ عَالِيًا # فَإِنَّ اتِّضَاعَ الْمَرْءِ مِنْ شِيَمِ الْعَقْلِ

Be humble when you are in high position

Because humility is a sign of maturity of mind

Syarah / Explanation and Conclusion:

The sign of a person's greatness is his humble attitude, as it is often said "Rice is bowed, the sign is full", which means that the more 'containing' a person is, the further away he is from arrogance.

Likewise, when we have a high position, we should not be arrogant, because the person who is the highest in a people is the person who is the most humble.
