Mahfudzot Class 2 KMI Gontor and its Meaning and Explanation (Part 9)

Honesty

**************************

You must be honest in every case

Don't lie because the worst reproach for you is a lie

It is not someone who lies but because of his moral lowness

Or his bad habits or his lack of civility

Syarah / Explanation and Conclusion:

Honesty is a value that is highly upheld by Islam. Therefore, one of the obligatory qualities for the Prophet is 'Shidq' (Honesty). In addition, honesty is also a value that is universally accepted by everyone.

On the other hand, lying which is the opposite of honesty is a very reprehensible thing and is a disgrace that must be treated. Even in a hadith Rasulullah SAW said that lying leads to evil and evil leads (the perpetrator) to the fire of hell. Thus, it is not an exaggeration to say that the root of all sin is a lie.
