Mahfudzot Class 2 KMI Gontor along with its meaning and explanation (Part 5)
Suggestions in studying 2
**************************
Whoever has not felt the difficulty of studying for a moment
He will surely feel the lowness of stupidity for the rest of his life
Whoever neglects to seek knowledge in his youth
So take your takbir over him four times before his death.
A person's life - for the sake of Allah - is determined by knowledge and piety
If both of them are gone, then there is no longer any self-esteem.
Syarah / Explanation and Conclusion:
This Mahfuzhat is taken from the poetry / words of Imam Syafii in his Diwan. Imam Shafi'i said that people who in their youth never tasted the bitterness of seeking knowledge, will feel the difficulty of being a fool for the rest of their life. Such a person deserves to be 'tahirized 4 times'. The point is that such a person is actually like a dead person; live in body, but not in spirit.
Then he also said that because the dignity and worth of a human being lies in his knowledge and piety, then if both of them are no longer there, then that person can be proud of.
