Mahfudzot Class 2 KMI Gontor and its Meaning and Explanation (Part 18)

اِحْتِرَامُ الـمُعَلِّمِ وَالطَّبِيْبِ

Respect to Teachers and Doctors

# إِنَّ الْمُعَلِّمَ وَالطَبِيْبَ كِلاَ هُمَا

لَا يَنْصَحَانِ إِذَا هُمَا لَمْ يُكْرَمَا

Indeed, the teacher and the doctor are both

Will not give advice if both are not respected

# فَاصْبِرْ لِدَائِكَ إِنْ جَفَوْتَ طَبِيْبَهَا

وَاقْنَعْ بِجَهْلِكَ إِنْ جَفَوْتَ مُعَلِّمًا

So be patient with your illness if you stay away from the doctor

And be satisfied with your stupidity if you stay away from the teacher

In essence, ignorance is a 'disease' that needs to be 'treated', so people who stay away from teachers are like sick people who don't want to see a doctor. He will not be separated from his stupidity like a sick person who never heals.
