الحِكَمُ وَالأَمْثَالُ السَائِرَةُ (۱)

Words of Wisdom and Proverbs (1)

1- إِعْجَابُ الرَّجُلِ بِنَفْسِهِ عُنْوَانُ ضُعْفِ عَقْلِهِ.

1. A person's admiration for himself is a sign of his weakness.

2- فَقْدُ الْبَصَرِ أَهْوَنُ مِنْ فَقْدِ الْبَصِيْرَةِ.

2. The loss of the eye of sight is lighter than the loss of the eye of the heart.

3- إِنَّ قَلْبَ الْأَحْمَقِ فِيْ فَمِهِ وَلِسَانُ الْعَاقِلِ فيِ قَلْبِهِ.

3. Verily, the heart of a fool is in his mouth, while the tongue of a wise man is in his heart.

4- هَلَكَ امْرُؤٌ لَمْ يَعْرِفْ قَدْرَهُ.

4. Destroy someone who doesn't know his limits.

5- الفَلاَّحُ سَيِّدُ البِلَادِ وَمَالِكُهُ الْحَقِيْقِيُّ.

5. Farmers are the real masters of the land and their owners.

Syarah / Explanation and Conclusion:

If a person feels proud of his wealth, greatness, intelligence, etc. and feels that he is better than others, then it is a sign of the weakness of that person's mind, because everyone must have their own strengths and weaknesses. Instead of that, we should always be humble and not arrogant.

A person who loses the eye of his sight may experience many difficulties in his life, but the person who loses the eye of his heart will not only experience difficulties in this world, but also in the hereafter.

That idiot talks a lot because everything that comes to his mind he can't filter and he always conveys through his mouth. As for the intelligent person, always be careful in his speech, he will not speak except something useful. That's why it's said that a fool's heart is on his tongue, meaning that his tongue can't stop talking like it's a grumbling heart. While the tongue of the intelligent person is in his heart, the meaning is that the intelligent person actually speaks more in his heart (thinks a lot) than in his mouth.

People who do not know the limits of their abilities will be harmed, because that person can fall into a behavior with risks that he cannot bear.

Farmers are the lifeblood of a nation because most of the food needs in a country depend on them. But unfortunately many people are not aware of the nobleness of their role, even history records that not infrequently the peasants were underestimated and regarded as the ' Proletariat' who only worked to meet the needs of the ' Bourgeoisie' . In fact, they should deserve to be respected and considered as the real support for the sustainability of the country.
