Prophet Ilyasa AS

Prophet Ilyasa AS, is the adopted son of Prophet Ilyas AS, his own father named Akhtub bin 'Ajuz. And he was appointed a prophet and apostle after Prophet Ilyas AS, died.

As for the information that explains that he was appointed as an apostle, namely the word of Allah SWT, in his holy book which reads:

" Ishmael, Ilyasa, Yunus, and Lut all of which We have given superiority over all the worlds" (Surat al-An'am, verse 86).

At the time of Prophet Ilyasa' AS, the people were prosperous, their economy was prosperous, and they lived safely forever, because they obeyed the commands and teachings of Prophet Ilyasa' AS.

Then after Anbi Ilyasa' died, his people (the Children of Israel) left their religion, namely taking a path that deviated from the religious teachings brought by Prophet Ilyasa'. Day by day their disbelief increased, so that Allah finally removed from them the favors and pleasures that had been bestowed upon them.

And at that time (after the death of Prophet Ilyasa 'AS), Prophet Yunus was born into the world, which in the future he was made by Allah SWT, as His messenger in conveying the teachings of monotheism (monothaism).
