"Sign of the Dead Heart"
"Part of the sign of the death of the heart, that is if you don't feel sad [difficulty] for missing a good deed [obligation], also not regretting if you commit a sin."
Lectures
In the previous Hikmah it was explained not to leave Dzikir even if the heart is not yet present when doing Dzikir. The same goes for worship and good deeds. Do not abandon worship because your heart is not sincere when worshiping and do not abandon good deeds because your heart is not sincere in doing it. Sincere and sincere are the perfect qualities of the heart. dhikr, worship and good deeds are ways to shape the heart to become perfect. A heart that has not reached the level of perfection is said to be diseased. If the disease is left, no steps are taken to treat it, at some point, the heart may die. The death of the heart is different from the death of the body. Dead people are buried in the ground. The heartbroken,
Humans become special because they have a spiritual heart. The heart has a noble value that the mind does not have. All the members and the intellect go to the material world while the spiritual heart goes to the Creator of the material world. The heart has the preparation to believe in God. The heart that connects humans with the Creator. The relationship with the Creator separates humans from the realm of animals and elevates them into noble beings. An intelligent heart, healthy and in its pure originality, closely connected with its God. The heart guides the mind so that the mind can think about God and God's creatures. The heart also guides the members of the body so that they submit to God's commands and stay away from His prohibitions.
In a hadith Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Whoever feels happy for his good deeds, and feels sad/regrets for his sinful deeds, then he is a believer."
Abdullah bin Mas'ud, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: "When we were in the assembly of Rasulullah, may God bless him and grant him peace, suddenly someone came down from his horse and approached the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, saying, 'O Rasulullah, I have tired my horse for nine days. so I run continuously for six days, not sleeping at night and fasting during the day, until this horse is really tired, just to ask you two problems that have troubled my heart to the point of not being able to sleep'. The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam asked, 'Who are you? ' The person answered, 'Zaidul-Khoir' The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, ' O Zaidul-Khoir, ask the possibility of something difficult, which he has never been asked before'. Said Zaidul-Khoir, 'I will ask you the signs of the loved and the hated?' The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam answered, 'Good luck, good luck, how are you doing now, O Zaid? Zaid replied, 'I currently like good deeds and people who do good deeds, even like the spread of good deeds, and when I miss out I feel regret and miss the good deeds, and when I do a little or a lot of good deeds, still I am sure of the reward'. The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam replied, 'Yes, that's him, if Allah does not like you, of course you will be prepared to do something other than that, and do not care in which abyss you will perish'. Zaid said, 'Enough, O Messenger of Allah,' and he returned to his horse,
Islam is a religion that is always relevant anytime and anywhere. The monotheistic religion is built on a solid faith with total monotheism. Islam is a religion that has matured since its birth, teaches unity as a principle in living social life.
Islam teaches to always unite God, He is the Ruler of the Universe, the Giver of Benefits and Disadvantages, the Giver of sustenance and everything. He is the Almighty, the Mighty, the Most Rich, who owns all that exists. Everything that exists needs Him all the time.
Meanwhile, all acts of worship and obedience are prescribed, in order to strengthen the faith and belief of the servants about the existence of Allah SWT. If a servant has been able to carry out all his virtues with full awareness, then all his affairs will always be returned to God. Because his heart is full of confidence, that everything he does cannot be separated from the control of God's hands and His will.
Alright, let's go back to the wisdom above; "The various branches of humiliation can only multiply on the seeds of greed"
It is extraordinary, this word has a very high meaning. It means; If humiliation is a tree that can grow in man, then it does not grow and reproduce, except from seeds and seeds of greed.
Know it! If there was no greed, surely there would be no humiliation between human beings. The greed that spreads in humans ranges from wanting to always increase the wealth they have, wanting to always go up with the rank they carry and so on.
The humiliation of human beings caused by this greed can eliminate the special glory bestowed by Allah SWT.
Allah SWT said;
And verily We have honored the children of Adam, We transported them on land and in the sea, We gave them sustenance from the good things and We gave them perfect advantages over most of the creatures We have created. [Quran: 17:70]
However, if you want to completely eliminate greed in humans, it is very difficult. The more so related to wealth and human lust. Because Allah SWT created humans in such a nature, it is necessary to eat and also to property as a supporter of life.
By nature, humans do need to eat, need clothes and need wealth for survival and survival. God's Word about human nature, love of wealth
and indeed he is very stingy because of his love for wealth. So does he not know when he is resurrected what is in the grave, [Al-Adiyat 8-9]
In another letter it is also stated:
and you love possessions with excessive love. Don't (do so). When the earth is shaken successively, [Surah Al Fajr 20-21]
So how to avoid and stay away from this greedy nature, if it is human nature? What steps must we take to be free from this greed? There is no longer the most accurate way, but by strengthening the nature of Allah's wahdaniat (oneness) in our minds and hearts.
So that there is no doubt at all in our minds, even believing that this natural entity is governed by the One Supreme Essence, there is no partner for him. There is no power and effort except with His help and indeed because of the Kauniyah who are soldiers of some of Allah's armies. Those who were sent to spread belief in the human mind about the nature of the oneness of Allah with the encouragement of always doing dhikr and doing good
If the concept of monotheism is imprinted on him, then with all his greed he will always face the One who fulfills everything. Always submit all his wishes to the Essence who has everything that exists, and always flees before Him. If his faith has started to solidify like that, then he will never rely on fellow humans. He will always rely on the Supreme King.
He always believes in God's messages contained in His holy book, such as verses about sustenance and guarantees of peace in life from Him. God said
“If they are poor Allah will enable them with His bounty. And Allah is Extensive of His gifts, All-Knowing." [Surah 24:32]
In another surah Allah says;
"Whoever does righteous deeds, both men and women, while believing, We will indeed give him a good life. And indeed We will reward them with a better reward than what they used to do. [Quran: 16:97]
If you already have the character and belief as in the verse above, then your greed will disappear. And he will always come back to Him. This is the teachings of Islam, guiding its adherents to achieve serenity, true serenity, eternal peace in this world and the hereafter.
