The 55th Syarah of Wisdom – Syarah al-Hikam
55th WISDOM OF WISDOM, IBNU ATHOILLAH
Bismillahirrahmaanirrahiim
Assalamualaikum wr. wb
"Nur serves to reveal (all elements from the outside), while reason serves as a decision maker,"
"As for the heart acts like an executor of duties: accept or reject (the elements from outside earlier)"
This wisdom explains self-potentials. That Allah has bestowed three important potentials on every human being: namely in the form of NUR, BASHIRAH and QALB. The following explanation..
Nur means knowledge of the mind,
Bashirah means emotional intelligence,
Qalb is conscience.
All three are very neatly integrated. Between one another has a strong bond and has been in sync in every human being. One potential to complete the other.
Let's explain one by one the special side of the three human potentials earlier.
If one day you find something interesting about religion or the nature of divinity, then your mind will surely respond immediately. Usually the mind will conduct an investigation, whether the interesting element is in fact true or not? Good or bad? Common sense and not contaminated by anything, can definitely reveal the secret behind the elements from outside. The performance of reason is just that. The identity of the elements from the outside will be tested by reason. Of course, through a strict process and complete data on its validity.
The process is then continued by the work of bashirah / emotional intelligence. Bashirah serves as a decision maker. Your emotional intelligence usually works to organize and accommodate all external elements into two different parts, namely between good and bad, right and wrong, haq and batil and so on. Self-emotional performance is sorting and selecting the elements from the outside into neat rows, arranged according to the criteria of each element. The good is put to one side. So is the bad. Each element from the outside is placed in a special combination, such as a machine sorting products that are suitable for use and those that are not.
The next potential is Qalb / conscience. Well, the function of the heart is to execute: whether to accept or reject the elements from the outside. The heart that has been united with the warid of Allah will surely reject all bad things that are not good. Please check Hikam 54 beforehand..
"Nur functions to reveal (external elements), while reason serves as a decision maker"
"As for the heart acts like an executor of duties: willing to accept or reject (the elements from outside earlier)". You have to realize these three potentials.
Allah encourages his servants to try their best, to strengthen themselves to become a person who emits positive light.
and the soul and its perfection (its creation), then Allah inspires to the soul (the way) its wickedness and piety. [Quran 91:7-8]
Even from the time of birth, God has put these three potentials into every human being.
Indeed We have created man from a drop of mixed semen which We wanted to test him (with commands and prohibitions), so We made him hear and see. Verily We have shown him the straight path; some are grateful and some are disbelievers. [Quran 76:2-3]
It may be very interesting if we discuss the tendency of humans whose hearts are in different versions of the Koran.
That the way Allah interacts with His servants usually uses the language of light. When Allah wants to guide his servant,
Allah (Giver) light (to) the heavens and the earth. The parable of Allah's light is like an impenetrable hole, in which is a large lamp. The lamp in the glass (and) the glass is like a star (which shines) like pearls, which are lit with oil from a blessed tree, (i.e.) an olive tree that grows neither in the east (something) nor in the west. (him), whose oil (alone) is almost illuminating, even though the fire does not touch it. Light upon light (in layers), Allah guides to His light whom He wills, and Allah sets forth parables for mankind, and Allah is Knower of all things. [Surah 24:35]
When Allah expands His beloved servants with Islam, Allah pours light into the hearts of His servants.
So what are those whose hearts Allah has opened to (accepting) the religion of Islam and then he gets light from his Lord (the same as those who harden their hearts)? So a great accident for those who have hardened their hearts to remember Allah. They are in real error. [Surah 39:22]
The human tendency to negative things in the form of lust and lust is also clearly mentioned by Allah
Made beautiful in (the view of) humans love of what they want, namely: women, children, wealth of many kinds of gold, silver, horses of choice, livestock and fields. That is the pleasure of living in this world, and with Allah is a good place to return (heaven). [Quran 3:14]
People who forget to dhikr to Allah are also called deviations of conscience, because they seem to underestimate Allah.
And be patient with those who call upon their Lord in the morning and evening, hoping for His pleasure; and do not turn your eyes away from them (because) expect the adornments of this world; And do not follow those whose hearts We have neglected from remembering Us, and following their desires and their condition is transgressing. [Quran 18:28]
Or also people who do not want to remember Allah (dhikrullah) including fraud as well.
And whoever turns away from My remembrance, then indeed for him is a narrow life, and We will gather him on the Day of Resurrection blind." He said: "O my Lord, why have You gathered me blind, when I was one who saw? Allah said: "Thus, Our Signs have come to you, so you forgot them, and so (also) today you are forgotten." [Surah 20:124-126]
How carefully Allah describes the hearts of His servants in the Qur'an. So don't waste the gift of the three special potentials. If the potential of reason, intellectual intelligence and conscience is processed properly and correctly, God willing, your positive light will appear.
One more note, never neglect or underestimate the wirid reading routine. Because it can make your heart die hard. The positive benefits of wirid can also soften the heart. Make the heart calm and live peacefully.
