The 79th Lecture of Wisdom – Lecture of al-Hikam

79TH WISDOM LECTURE,AL-HIKAM

WARID HAPPENS SUDDENLY WARID HAPPENS (GENT) THAT IS DIRECT FROM ALLAH SWT EXCEPT SUDDENLY SO THAT THE SERVANTS DO NOT ACCUSE THAT HE RECEIVED IT BECAUSE HE WAS PREPARED.

Allah swt is the only one, there is nothing associated with Him. He does not associate with the deeds of His servants, the knowledge of His servants, the prayers of His servants, the wishes of His servants, the plans of His servants, the preparations of His servants and anything that is external and internal. Allah swt stands alone, He is not bound to cause and effect. A great gift for one of His servants is that the servant is met with the fact that Allah swt stands alone. The encounter with this attribute makes the servant recognize the oneness of Allah swt. One of the ways Allah swt introduces the attribute of Standing Alone to His servant is by giving His gift to His servant suddenly so that the gift cannot be attributed to anything. but attributed to Allah swt only. Allah swt said:He is the First and the Last; and the Outer and the Inner; and He is All-Knowing of everything.

(Verse 3: Surah al-Hadiid)He is the Beginning without a beginning, the End without an end, the Outer has His manifestation in creatures and the Inner is hidden from His creatures. He knows the deeds of His servant before the servant does charity. He knows the prayer of His servant before the servant prays. He knows the knowledge of His servant before the servant has knowledge. Even He knows the movement and silence of His servant before the servant was created.

The beginning, the end, the external and the internal are not separated from His knowledge because His Knowledge is the Early Knowledge, the Final Knowledge, the External Knowledge and the Inner Knowledge. Everything has existed in His Knowledge and remains in His Knowledge without being subject to the creation of His creaturesThere is no hardship (or calamity) that has befallen the earth, nor has it befallen you, but it was already in the Book (Our knowledge) before We made it; Indeed, doing such a thing is easy for Allah swt  (Verse 22: Surah al-Hadiid)The direct pull from Allah swt draws the eyes of the heart from natural objects and natural events to the Creator of nature, the Organizer of all affairs.

This is how God introduces Himself to His servants. This process is called the experience of reality that produces enlightenment. Knowledge about reality or commonly called knowledge of reality, also called Rabbani knowledge (knowledge attributed to divinity) or laduni knowledge (knowledge received directly from Allah swt), is not found by studying or by doing good deeds. There is no path or preparation that ensures one will obtain it. It is simply a gift from Allah swt Only Allah swt is worthy to introduce Himself to His servants.

Only Allah swt knows who among His servants is worthy of knowing Him. Only Allah swt t who has the right to determine when and how He should be known. When Allah swt wants to introduce Himself to His servants, it is conveyed to His servants that is the knowledge of reality, Rabbani knowledge or Laduni knowledge. All of a sudden Divine Light illuminated the servant's heart and his eyes were opened to witness to his Lord. The servant also knew that the perfect knowledge of Allah swt extends from the beginning to the end. He also knows that Allah swt stands alone, there is nothing that interferes in his affairs. He also has knowledge about the oneness of Allah swt. The deeper his knowledge, the wider his knowledge, the stronger his belief in monotheism. t wants to introduce Himself to His servants and convey to His servants the knowledge of reality, Rabbani knowledge or laduni knowledge.

There are people whom God appoints to serve Him. There are also people whom God chooses to love Him. "To each group, both this group and that group, We give help from the generosity of your Lord. And the mercy of your God is not limited." (QS. Al-lsra' (17): 20)

God himself chooses His servants, so some are chosen to perform the worship that is born, they are the 'abid and ascetics, and there are also those chosen by God for the Love (Beloved) of God and these are the 'arif and benevolent people who do not exist place in their hearts except for the mere remembrance of Allah.

Considering that this world is empty, there is nothing except God who created and implemented everything.

So when a servant looks at God's choice of His servant and assigns a position to that servant, it can make the servant not look down on the position that God has given to some servants. Sheikh Abu Yazid al-Busthami qs. said, "Allah Ta'ala looks at the hearts of the servants (His lovers), then there are some who are not fit/strong enough to bear the weight of the light of enlightenment, then Allah keeps those servants busy with worship."

Shaykh Abdullah as-Syarqawi lectured:

What is meant by "those who serve Him" are those who obey God outwardly. They are the ascetics and 'abid who deserve to occupy His paradise. Meanwhile, what is meant by "those who love Him" are the well-wishers and 'arif whom He approaches and enters into His presence. These two groups both want to serve and get closer to God. The difference is, the first group is more with body parts, while the second group is more with the heart.

This grouping is God's will. Therefore, it is forbidden for a servant who understands this to belittle or look down on one of these groups.
