The History Of The Founding Of The Al-Falah-Ploso Mojo Islamic Boarding School, Kediri
On January 1, 1925, KH. A. Djazuli Usman founded a madrasa and Islamic boarding school. He uses the porch of the mosque for teaching and learning activities for the students. Without feeling the students who study with KH. A.Djazuli swelled to 100 people.
The community around the Al-Falah Ploso Islamic boarding school was originally classified as an abangan community (far from religion). When it was first established, many people ridiculed the Al-Falah Islamic boarding school. Moreover, officials and bookies, whose status quo is starting to be disturbed. They often spread misguided issues against this Islamic boarding school.
Such a phenomenon is indeed a formidable challenge for pesantren
which became the center of this Mantab Al-Qur'an reading activity. But the administrators were not afraid. Instead, the challenge made them determined to change the abangan society into an Islamic society. The result is like today. Pesantren continues to grow, and Islamic life is created by itself around the boarding school.
This Islamic boarding school which is located on the banks of the Berantas river takes many advantages from this geographical location. The river which is famous for its swift water and continues to flow throughout the seasons provides a lot of life for the students and the surrounding community. On this riverbank is the village of Ploso, 15 km south of Kediri. The potential of this area is very influential on the socio-economic life of the community. Generally they use the fertile land on the banks of the Berantas river to grow crops.
Institutional Organization
Alfalah Ploso Islamic Boarding School adheres to a traditional management system, in the sense that a single leadership is centralized in the figure of a kiai holding high authority in the management of the pesantren. Such management continues to the present day when this pesantren is managed by KH. Zainuddin Djazuli son of Kiai Djazuli. KH. Zainuddin in caring for the pesantren, which is often used for regional level activities, is assisted by his younger brothers and sisters, such as KH. Nurul Huda (Gus Dah) who takes care of the girls' boarding school, KH. Fuad Mun'im (Gus Fu'), KH. Munif, Mrs. Nyai Hj. Badriyah (Bu Bad) and Gus Sabut son of the late Gus Mik (who commanded the Jama'ah Sima'an Al-Qur'an Mantab) etc.
Al-Falah Ploso Islamic Boarding School, Kediri, like most pesantren in Kediri, is an educational and teaching institution of the Salafaiyah model.

KH AHMAD DJAZULI USMAN PLOSO
KH. Achmad Djazuli Uthman, founder and caregiver I of Al-Falah Islamic Boarding School, Ploso, Kediri.
He was born in the early nineteenth century, on May 16, 1900 AD to be exact. He is the son of Raden Mas M. Uthman, an Onder District (district head). As a nobleman, Mas'ud was lucky, because he was able to receive formal school education such as SR, MULO, HIS and even to be able to sit at the STOVIA college level (currently UI Medical Faculty) in Batavia.
After returning from the holy land, Mas'ud then returned to his homeland, Ploso and only brought a book, namely Dalailul Khairat. One year later, in 1923, he continued studying at Tebuireng Jombang to deepen his knowledge of hadith under the direct guidance of Hadiotusy Sheikh KH. Hasjim Asya'ri.
After he had enough, he then proceeded to the Tremas Islamic Boarding School which was managed by KH. Ahmad Dimyathi (the younger brother of Sheikh Mahfudz Attarmasiy) and Pondok Termas became the final stop before he founded the Al-Falah Islamic Boarding School in Ploso, Kediri.
PROFILE OF KH HAMIM DJAZULI/GUS MIEK
KH Hamim Tohari Djazuli or familiarly as Gus Miek was born on August 17, 1940, he is the son of KH. Jazuli Uthman (a Sufi scholar and founder of Islamic boarding school Al Falah Mojo Kediri).
Gus Miek is a hafizh (memorizer) of the Koran. Because, for Gus Miek, the Al-Quran is a place to complain about all the problems in his life that other people cannot understand. By listening to and reading the Koran, Gus Miek felt calm and he seemed to be in dialogue with God, even though he formed a chant of the Koran and the Dzikrul congregation.
Ghophyllin.
On June 5, 1993, Gus Miek died and breathed his last at Budi Mulya Hospital, Surabaya.

Abstract:
The Al Falah Islamic Boarding School in the village of Ploso Mojo, Kediri, has been using the salafiyah model since its inception. This lodge has a tendency to master knowledge, understanding thoughts and traditions of salaf scholars who lived in the era of three generations after the time of the Prophet Muhammad. Al Falah Islamic boarding school that prioritizes the needs of the hereafter in its educational orientation. This has an impact on prospective students' interest in studying this boarding school which has tended to decline in the last three years, students are less able to adapt to modern society that has changed and have a materialistic mindset, alumni of salafiyah pesantren are not able to compete in the world of work because the competence of salafiyah pesantren students has not been recognized by the public. stackholders.
The results of this study indicate that the kyai of the Islamic boarding school al Falah Ploso Mojo Kediri in maintaining the model of the salafiyah boarding school in the salafiyah boarding school has certain reasons including: a) Achievement of focus on studying Islamic religious knowledge so that they are able to animate the knowledge learned as much as possible. b) Sincerity in worshiping Allah becomes an educational goal for both the institution and its students. c) Comply with the mandate that has been mandated by the founder of the Al Falah Islamic Boarding School. d) Preserving the knowledge and teachings of the Salaf scholars who adhere to the teachings of the Sunnah wal Jama'ah experts. e) Salafiyah Islamic boarding schools are a fortress of defense to save Islam from sects that deviate from the Qur'an and the Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad.
This finding is contrary to the concept of the balance of action and charity from Islamic teachings as in the hadith of the Prophet who stated, "Whereas today, large and small pesantren are increasing day by day and are beginning to apply the concept of balance in education. A concept of fulfilling the needs of Islamic education that is oriented for the benefit of the world and the afterlife in a balanced way and together. Like the Prophet's concept, "You do good deeds for the benefit of your world as if you will live forever and you do good deeds for your afterlife as if you die tomorrow." And, "For those who want the world, then it is obligatory to learn world knowledge. For those who want the hereafter, it is obligatory to study the knowledge of the hereafter; for those who want both, it is obligatory to have the knowledge of the world and the afterlife."
