Prophet Idris himself is the sixth descendant of Prophet Adam AS. He is a son of Qabil and Iqlima (son and daughter of Prophet Adam.  At that time, Allah SWT ordered Prophet Idris to invite all humans to walk in the way of Allah SWT. Prophet Idris AS is the second prophet in the sequence of 25 prophets who must be believed. In other words, He is the second prophet after Prophet Adam AS who became the first human being created by Allah SWT.

One day, the angel of death Izrail who had been friends with Prophet Idris for a long time asked Allah SWT for permission to come down to earth and visit Prophet Idris. He felt very longed to meet with Prophet Idris and Allah SWT finally allowed him to meet.  That night, Prophet Idris arrived a man who brought many fruits. Surely it is the Angel of Israel who is in disguise and Prophet Idris does not know it. Prophet Idris then offered the food to Israel but he refused. Finally they chatted and went out to see the scenery around.  After four days together and quite close, Prophet Idris began to be suspicious of the guest. Because, the disguised guest never touched the banquet at all. Prophet Idris then asked various questions because he was filled with curiosity.  Prophet Idris: My Lord. Who are you really? Angel Israel: Sorry O Prophet of God. I am actually an Angel of Israel. Of course, Prophet Idris was surprised to hear this because the angel Azrael himself served as a human soul taker. Then Prophet Idris asked again. "You've been with me for four days. Are you on duty to take the lives of creatures in this world?" Angel Izrail: O Idris, during these four days I have taken many lives. The spirits of the creatures are like a dish before me. Pick them up like someone is feeding them. Nabi Idris: So what is the purpose of your coming here? Do you want to take my life? The angel Israel shook her head. No, Yes Idris. I came to visit you because I miss you and Allah has given permission. After the conversation, Prophet Idris then made a request. He wanted the angel Israel to take his life and then bring him back to life. Prophet Idris was curious about the pain of dying which was said to be very terrible.  However, the conversation was not directly carried out by the angel of Israel. Considering the various things he will do only on the orders of Allah SWT.  Angel Azrael: I do not deprive someone of comfort other than by Allah's permission.  However, in the end Allah SWT granted the request. It didn't last long, the angel Israel took the life of Prophet Idris. Then seeing his friend in pain, Izrail cried. After that, Allah SWT revived Prophet Idris.  Then Prophet Idris cried because he could not imagine if another human being experienced such a painful death. The feeling was so terrible that words could not describe it. Prophet Idris could not bear it if his people had to suffer at the end of life and death. Since then, Prophet Idris then became more and more fond of inviting his people to do good, obey God and avoid all His prohibitions.

Once, Prophet Idris and the angel Israel were worshiping together. Then Prophet Idris made a unique request to the angel of Israel.  Prophet Idris: Can you take me to see the beauty of heaven and the enormity of hell fire, O Angel Izrail? Angel Azrael: O Prophet of Allah, again your request is really strange. Why did you ask for that? Even the angels are afraid to see hell, but you ask for it instead. Prophet Idris: To be honest, I am very afraid of God's punishment. May my faith and piety increase after seeing hell.

However, not because of fear or seeing something scary, but he was very amazed and fascinated by the various beauties that appeared before his eyes. Prophet Idris saw a river whose water was very clear.  Meanwhile, on the edge of the river there is a tree whose trunk is made of silver and gold. He also saw a magnificent palace for its occupants.
