The Story of Prophet Yusuf the Interpreter of Dreams (Part-1)

Day after day, year after year passed. Prophet Yusuf still bears his suffering sincerely in prison. There were two new people, both of whom were the king's boys, the reason they went to prison was because they made the king angry.

One day Yusuf asked about their work before going to prison. One of them answered his job as a pourer of the King's drink while the other was a cook for the king. Then both of them were curious about the work of Prophet Yusuf then he replied "I am an interpreter of dreams."

More and more people are going to jail. The treatment of Prophet Yusuf to all people is the same, do good to others. One night when everyone was asleep, a King's cook dreamed a dream. He was carrying bread on his head and there were birds eating the bread. While others are pressing grapes.

Then, one of them asked, "Tell us the interpretation of the dream. Indeed, we see you among those who do good." Here God gave Prophet Yusuf an amazing ability, namely interpreting a dream. Yusuf knew the interpretation of the dream and interpreted it as if he saw the truth in his dream.

Joseph spread the teachings of God

In the prison Prophet Yusuf taught the two prisoners to worship God Almighty. Which Prophet Yusuf wants them to fully believe in him, that there is no God but Allah. So he said to them, "I know everything, even including the food that the guards gave you. God gave me knowledge. That's because I worship God Almighty and reject idolaters, I follow the religion of my father-Ibrahim, Ishaq and Yaqub. God gave this blessing to me, Ahlulbayt and people. But, many people are not grateful (for God's grace)."

The two of them listened very, very carefully. Prophet Yusuf assured them that Allah is eternal. Yusuf confirmed the meaning of the dream of the two. He was sure that after coming out of prison one of them would continue his work with the King and the rest would be crucified whose heads the birds would eat.

But when in the middle of a conversation the person who dreams of seeing bread on his head becomes frightened. He admitted that he was not dreaming and that he had lied to Yusuf. Then Yusuf replied, "The matter concerning what you are asking has been determined."

The next day both of them were released from prison. The drinker went to the king and continued his work while the cook was crucified. As his dream statement was true, then from there the drinker promised to tell his king that Joseph was innocent. But the drinker forgot his promise. With patience and sincerity, Prophet Yusuf believed that Allah would not forget him.
