Punisher of the Prophet

Punisher of the Prophet

l Early 1438 H [:id] AT an assembly of the noble Prophet Muhammad SAW, he revealed a list of stories, that later on the Day of Judgment he would show off his people in front of the previous Prophets - which were so numerous that they covered the plains and hills. Then God said to the Prophet, "Are you satisfied, O Muhammad?"

So the Prophet, peace be upon him, replied, "I am satisfied, my Lord!"

Then God said again, "Surely there are seventy thousand people from your people who will enter heaven without reckoning with faces like the full moon."

The Companions who were present at that time were in awe of the story. Then suddenly Companion Ukasyah approached him and said, "O Messenger of Allah, pray for me to be among that group."

"You are one of them!" said the Prophet.

Seeing Ukasyah's actions, some Companions also approached him and asked to be prayed for like Ukasyah. He smiled at the reaction of the Companions, and said, "You have been preceded by Ukasyah."

Ukasyah bin Mihshan al-Asadi was a friend from among the Muhajirin who came from Bani Abdu Shams. In our language today, it is an ex-thug who repented voluntarily, and embraced Islam in the earliest days of Islam so that he was included in the group of as-Sabiqun al-Awwalun.

During the Battle of Badr, Ukasyah bin Mihshan was the best horseman, who fought until his sword broke. Then the Messenger of Allah gave him a stick of wood—which in one narration—turned into a sharp sword which was then given the nickname al-'aun (help) by Ukasyah. It was the sword that he used in various battles until his death when he fought Musailamah al-Kadzab (The Liar), during the Caliphate of Abu Bakar as-Siddiq ra.

The story of the Prophet's kindness above, then was reciprocated by Ukasyah before his death in 621 AD. At that time, the Prophet ordered Bilal to call the call to prayer to call the Companions to the Prophet's Mosque. Hearing Bilal's call, the Companions who had been longing for their lover for a long time, immediately hurried to step forward. After they gathered in the mosque, the Prophet came closer. His body looked weak and shrunken. His face was pale. Then the Prophet sat in front of his beloved friend, and asked quietly.

"My friend... Have I told you that Allah is the only god that must be worshipped?"

"True, O Messenger of Allah. You have conveyed that Allah is the only god that must be worshipped," replied the Companion in confirmation.

"Indeed, I am your Prophet, a giver of advice and a summoner to the path of God with His permission. I am to you like a loving brother and a loving father. I will go to see God. Before leaving, I want to settle all matters with humans. Do I ever owe you guys? I want to settle the debt? Because I don't want to meet God in a state of owing anything to humans."

Hearing this statement slipped from the lips of the noble Prophet, the Companions were suddenly stunned. Bow down. They are daydreaming. Did not expect that their arrival this time, was the last meeting with the great figure they loved to the marrow. None of them were able to reply to what the Prophet said.

"Whoever feels wronged by me among you all, let him stand up right now to do qishas (retribution) to me, before he does it on the Day of Resurrection."

The Friends are increasingly helpless. Their mouths were closed and their lips were numb at that moment. The same question was repeated by the Prophet. Only on the third question, a man rose from his seat. He is Ukasyah bin Mihsan. He stood in front of the Prophet SAW while saying.

"My mother and father are your ransom, O Messenger of Allah. If it weren't for the fact that you have repeatedly demanded that we do something to you, I would not have dared appear to grant it to you according to your request. In the past, I was with you on the battlefield of Badr so that my camel was side by side once with yours. I got off the camel's back and approached you. Then I kissed your thigh. Then you lifted your whip to beat your camel to make it run fast, but you actually hit my ribs. I don't know whether you did it on purpose or not, O Messenger of Allah, or maybe you meant to hit your camel at that time?"

The Prophet PBUH said, "O 'Ukasyah, the Prophet PBUH hit you on purpose." Then he told Bilal to go to Fatimah's house, take his whip.

Despite his reluctance, Bilal immediately went out from Nabawi with his hands placed on his head. He was surprised and couldn't stop thinking, how could Ukasyah be so brave and the Prophet PBUH even admitted his mistake. While waiting for Bilal to return, the atmosphere in Nabawi was tense. The main Companions began to ignite their emotions. Some of the others, turned their gaze towards the unconscious Ukasyah.

Bilal also arrived at Sayyidatina Fatimah's house. He knocked on the door while bowing.

"Who's outside?" asked Fatima.

"I'm Bilal. Come to you to take the whip of the Messenger of Allah."

"Duhai Bilal, what will my father do with his whip?"

"Oh Fatima! Your father gave other people the opportunity to take qishas against him."

"Who the hell is that person who reached the heart mengqishas Rasulullah?" asked Fatimah in surprise. Just let me replace it."

Bilal did not answer the question. After Fatimah submitted what her father wanted, Bilal took the whip and returned to Nabawi. Then he gave it to the Messenger of Allah, who then handed the whip into Ukasyah's hands. The atmosphere is suddenly hot. All Friends stand up. At that moment, Abu Bakar and Umar came forward to resist Ukasyah's insane desire.

"Hi, Ukasyah! We are now in front of you. We are Qishas, and don't even once hit the Messenger of God!" Umar's right hand may have landed on the hilt of his sword, with a red face. But the Messenger of God instead restrained his two companions, then said.

"My friend, sit down both of you. God understands the position of both of you!"

After they sat back, 'Ali bin Abi Tholib stood up and said fiercely, "Hey Ukasyah! I am now still alive in front of the Prophet. I can't wait to see that you will take the opportunity to criticize the Messenger of Allah. This is my back. Kiss me with your hand!"

"Allah has understood your position before Him, and also your good intentions, O Ali!" prevent the Prophet again.

Ali receded. He sat down. In a state of great regret. Then came his children, the beloved grandsons of the Prophet, Hasan and Husein.

"Hey Ukasyah! Didn't you already know that these two of us are the grandsons of the Prophet. We are qishas, and that means the same as qishas the Messenger of Allah!” But the Prophet reprimanded his two grandsons by saying.

"Sit down you two, cool my eyes."

Hearing the grandfather say this, Hasan-Husein snarled and grumbled. Finally, the Prophet said, Hi Ukasyah! Hit me if you want to take qishas!"

Knowing that his desire is no longer hindered by anyone, Ukasyah is more and more enthusiastic.

"O Messenger of God! When you hit me first, I happened to be wearing a shirt," said Ukasyah. Suddenly the room in Nabawi became crowded and stuffy due to the anger of the Companions. Ukasyah is getting crazy. Instead of intending to whip the Prophet, he instead asked him to take off his shirt. Very rude! But without speaking, the Prophet took off his shirt. Everyone present sighed. Screaming hysterically, then crying. Ukasyah is no exception. In fact, there is something trapped inside he has a chest.

Ukasyah advanced. Untie the whip of the Messenger of Allah that he was holding. But when he saw the marble white body of the Messenger of Allah and the mark of prophethood on his right shoulder, he immediately embraced the noble and fragrant body. To his satisfaction, while saying, "Your ransom is my soul, O Messenger of Allah. Who is up to his heart to take the opportunity to praise? I deliberately did so only because I hoped that my body could touch your noble body, and that God, with your honor, would be pleased to protect me from the touch of hell fire."

Ukasyah delivered the sentence with a stutter. His tears welled up. Unstoppable flooding. His chest is tight with longing. Moreover, he realized that the Messenger of Allah would soon leave them, forever. The day suddenly turned blue.

Finally the Prophet said, "Know, my friends! Whoever wants to see the inhabitants of heaven, then see the person of this man."

Then the Muslims stood up and kissed Ukasyah's face, between her eyes. Not forgetting, they also took turns kissing the body of the Prophet SAW which was so enchanting. Their suspicions disappeared for a moment. Thank you very much to the clever and lucky Ukasyah. Because of his courage and tenacity, the curiosity of the Companions who wanted to see the mark of prophethood on the Prophet's shoulder was satisfied.

Not even just looking. More than that, they also managed to embrace the most noble human body in the universe to their heart's content. As long and as tight as possible. Skin against skin. Love collides with an increasingly stinging longing.
