The Story of How Noble the Prophet's Heart Was
The Story of How Noble the Prophet's Heart Was
The Prophet walked past that place every day, one of the streets in the city of Makkah and was on the path of the Kaaba. Every time he passed there, sometimes alone and not infrequently with his companions, there was a Makkah resident from the Quraishi tribe who made fun of the Messenger of Allah. The person's house is right across the street.
That person hated Abdul Mutholib's grandson, often with a deliberately raised voice, he cursed and cursed him. It is not uncommon to even spit on the ground. It is as if the Messenger is a patient and a disgusting person, and deserves to be insulted. Of course that made the friends angry.
Some friends even complained and offered to deter the person. But, the Prophet just smiled. He forbids, tends to just let it be. In fact, it seems very clumsy.
Still he walked as usual and the man was always doing his job; cursed, mocked and insulted him. It happened continuously without stopping.
Until one day, when he passed, he no longer heard the person's voice. This surprised the Apostle. He also thought, maybe the person was having other needs.
The next day, the Messenger walked back there and he no longer found the voice of abuse that he often heard. He felt a bit strange, then asked his friends to visit the person. He is worried that the person is sick or something.
Then, go friends to meet the person. Previously they were surprised, Lha wong, the person who often insulted him, why was he even asked to visit anyway? When they arrived, they found that the person was sick. They came back and reported what they saw.
Long story short, Rasulullah then visited the person. After arriving, he entered the house and immediately saw a helpless body lying. The person's hand was sincerely held and prayed for.
The person woke up and was shocked because now the person he had often insulted and cursed at had been in front of him. Sitting and holding her hand affectionately, it seemed that she didn't hold the slightest grudge.
He wept, then tried to prostrate at the feet of the Apostle, but was restrained. He just smiled. Then said: "O Muhammad, I have insulted you, hating you with all my heart. But you did this to me. While the people closest to me, no one came to see me. But you…”
It's the same. Rasulullah smiled and prayed for the person back.
"Your heart is so noble. Today I testify that there is no god but Allah and you (Muhammad) are His messenger," he said while holding the hand of the Messenger.
