The Story of People Who Are Good at Setting Intentions
The Story of People Who Are Good at Setting Intentions
During the time of the Children of Israel, there was a time of economic crisis, famine, food resources were very difficult. There is one person who intends in his heart, "If only the mountains of sand there were in the form of wheat, then I distributed it to all the inhabitants of the Children of Israel."
Then Allah gave a revelation to the Prophet who was sent there, to inform him that the person will get the reward for giving charity as big as the mountain of sand that he had intended.
This story is similar to the story of a person who is suffering from illness, invited by pious people so that they have a common intention to carry out the pilgrimage. The sick patient replied, "How can I intend to perform Hajj if my body is sick like this?"
Then he was answered "No, the important thing is that we intend, the problem is that in the end we can run it or not because of an excuse, we still get the reward."
So it is important for us to organize our intentions, even if we fail in the middle of the road, we will still get the reward without the slightest lack.
Just as we have the intention to follow the congregation at dawn prayer, but suddenly we need to defecate until we miss the congregation and can't follow it at all, then we still get the reward.
It could even be, the reward of people like this is greater than those who follow the congregation directly. Because if people who follow the congregation have the potential to be proud or riya', but if people only have intentions but have excuses, they don't have the potential to be proud and riya'.
