When Prophet Muhammad Was Humiliated

“Once Abu Jahal hired a Jew to harm the Prophet. In the hallway that the Prophet SAW used to pass to get to the Ka'bah, the Jews stood to wait for the Prophet SAW. When the Prophet passed by, he called the Prophet. He also looked, because he never disappointed anyone who called him. That's when the Jew spat in Muhammad's face. The Prophet was not the least bit angry or rebuked the Jew.

The next day, the Prophet again walked in the same place. Arriving at the same place, the Prophet was again called and spat on as before. Thus the incident continued for several days until one day the Prophet did not find anyone who had spat on him all this time. The Prophet also asked several people, "Where are the people who always spit on me?" After asking him, the Prophet knew that the person had fallen ill. The Prophet went home to take the food that was there and did not forget to also stop by the market, buy fruit, to visit the sick Jew.

Arriving at the house of the Jew, the Prophet knocked on the door. From inside the house, a sick Jewish voice approached the door asking, "Who's coming?" "I, Muhammad," replied the Prophet. "Muhammad who?" the Jewish voice asked again. "Muhammad Rasulullah," replied the Prophet again. After the door was opened, how surprised the Jew was, seeing the figure who came was the person who had been hurting and spat on his face. "What did you come here for?" asked the Jew again. "I came to visit you, my brother, because I heard you were sick," replied the Prophet in a soft voice.

"O Muhammad, know that since I fell ill, no one has come to see me, not even Abu Jahal, who has hired me to harm you, even though I have sent people to him several times so that he will come to give me something. But you, whom I have hurt all this time and I spit many times, it was you who first came to see me," said the Jew with a touched tone.

However, every morning Muhammad came to him with food, and without saying a word. Muhammad fed the beggar with the food he brought, although at the same time, the beggar always insulted and berated Muhammad.

And, amazingly, Muhammad continued to feed the beggar until he died,

After Muhammad's death, Abu Bakr replaced Muhammad's role. When Abu Bakr ra began to feed him, the beggar got angry and shouted, "Who are you?". Abu Bakr ra replied, "I am an ordinary person". "No!, you are not someone who used to come to me," replied the blind beggar. When it comes to me, it is not difficult for the hand to hold and it is not difficult for the mouth to chew.

The person who used to come to me always fed me, but first he smoothed the food with his mouth and then he gave it to me", the beggar continued his words. Abu Bakar ra couldn't hold back his tears, he cried while saying to the beggar, I am indeed not a person who used to come to you, I am one of his friends, the noble person is gone. He is Muhammad the Messenger of God.”

After the beggar heard Abu Bakar's story, he cried and then said, "is that true?", "all this time I always insulted him, slandered him, he never scolded me at all, in fact he came to me with food every morning and fed me", he continued"
