The Tale of Dreams About the Noble Month of Sha'ban

Today we enter the month of Sha'ban. Where this month is included in one of the three more glorified months in Islam. Many important events occur in the eighth calendar in the calculation of the Hijri month. Not only that, there are several stories about Sha'ban that can inspire us.

There is an interesting story about the month of Sha'ban. One of them came from Muhammad bin Abdullah Az Zahidi. Told by him that one day he wanted to make a pilgrimage to the grave of his friend, Abu Hafshin Al Kabir. His best friend died 8 months earlier. When he sleeps, dreams of meeting his best friend. Looks like his friend's face has changed. His face looks pale. In his dream Muhammad Az Zahidi wanted to shake hands, but his best friend refused.

Then Az Zahidi asked his friend, Abu Hafshin.

"Why don't you return my greetings," Az Zahidi asked. His friend then replied, "Returning greetings is worship, while we have been cut off from worship." Az Zahidu asked again, "Why is your face changing now, even though you used to be handsome." Abu Hafshin replied, "When I was laid from the grave, an angel came and sat beside me. The angel then said and counted all my evil deeds. Even hit me with a stick until my body burned. Not only that. The grave said to me, am I not ashamed of my Lord.

The grave then squeezed me until my bones were scattered everywhere. The torment lasted until the night of my first ban. At that time, suddenly a voice invited from above and said, "O angel, lift up your log and torment you, indeed he used to fast one day in the month of Sha'ban and live one night."

The story above is an example of how glorious the month of Sha'ban is. Some scholars have explained how the main month of Sha'ban is. Among the virtues is the lifting of human deeds that are appointed by Allah. In this month, it is also recommended to increase circumcision fasting.

The Messenger of Allah himself emphasized that on the night of the middle of the month of Sha'ban Allah SWT descends from the earth to forgive his servants except the polytheists and those who are hostile to each other, as a hadith narrated by Ibn Majah. So immediately ask forgiveness from Allah SWT and do not be hostile to each other.
