Learning from the Prophet's Muhammad saw Attitude to Abu Lahab

Learning from the Prophet's Attitude to Abu Lahab

We were all shocked by the video of a parade of children chanting “Kill! Kill! Kill!” How can children come up with such a terrible idea?

The answer is definitely this: taught, guided, instructed by adults. Children have the ability to imitate and are easy to trust. Moreover, our tradition is far from a culture of critical thinking. With such teachings, of course, parents have passed down, passed down, taught children, generations of Islam, generations of citizens about anger and hatred for people/things/groups that they think insult Islam, tarnish the sanctity of Islam.

The question is then: Is this attitude in the Prophet Muhammad SAW?

Not! No and no!

For example, when the people of Mecca rejected the preaching of the Prophet Muhammad, he tried his luck in Taif. He entered the city and offered Islam, but he was more than verbally ridiculed, but also pelted with stones and dirt. He was humiliated humiliated.

Even Jibril even offered to kill the people of Taif in return.

Did Muhammad agree?

Not! No and No!

"No," said the Prophet. They just don't know. Hopefully someday their grandchildren will receive guidance.

When Abu Lahab threw dirt on the terrace of the Prophet's house, and Fatimah wept for her father's humiliation, the Prophet did not ignite the fire of hatred in his youngest daughter's heart, instead the Prophet wiped Fatima's tears and strengthened her daughter with patience and forgiveness.

But Abu Lahab's behavior did not stop there. Abu Lahab had proposed to Ruqoyyah and Umm Kulthum (two daughters of the Prophet) for his two children: Utbah and Utaibah. When the Prophet declared Islam, the engagement was unilaterally annulled. Did the Messenger of Allah teach Ruqoyyah and Umm Kulthum to hate and shout Abu Lahab "Kill! Kill! Kill!”?

Not! No and no!

The Prophet did not teach us to hate let alone spread hatred. Instead, the Prophet taught us to love and forgive, to be greater than insults, to cleanse our hearts and mouths from the filth of hatred.

So, if someone claims to be preaching but his job is to spread hatred, then his Muhammadanship should be questioned.

Because Islam is Muhammad. And hatred is forbidden to him. Happy worship.
