The Story of a Generous Teenage Slave

The Story of a Generous Teenage Slave

It is said that there was a Sufi named Abdullah bin Ja'far. He left the house and headed to a yard. With the two, Abdullah passed by a landlord's yard. In the garden there is a slave who is still a teenager. The work is very active and diligent. The slave seemed to have no sense of tiredness.

When meal time came, a servant of his master brought food and then came back. Haven't had time to touch the food, a stray dog entered the yard. The dog then approached him. Then the teenager stared at him for a moment. Not long after, he threw the food that had been brought to the dog. The dog then devoured it. It was done many times until the food runs out.

Abdullah bin Ja'far looked at the incident carefully. Soon he could not stand it and approached the young man. Jakfar also asked, "O young man, how many times a day do you send food from your master?"

"What did you see?" asked the young man probingly.

"Why did you put the dog first?" asked Ja'far again.

The young man replied, "This is indeed not the earth of the dog, but the dog came from a very far place. Of course very hungry, and I can't refuse to feed him. I empty and tuck my stomach today," said the young man with the intention of saying he was hungry. "How generous this young man is, he is more generous than me," thought Ja'far. A moment later Abdullah bin Ja'far went to meet his master and bought a garden, freeing the teenage slave and the tools in it.
