Biography of Shaykh Mahfud Termas, Pioneer of Sanad Science

The success of KH Mahfudz Termas to become a respected great scholar cannot be separated from the role of the teachers who guide him in various aspects. The guidance he received from the teacher was not only in the intellectual realm, his emotional and spiritual intelligence was also part of the guidance he received every day during his study. Here the author would like to briefly describe some of the teachers of KH. Mahfudz Termas who the author quoted from his work entitled "Kifayatul Mustafidz lima ala min al-Asanid" .
His teachers are (1) Sheikh Musthafa bin Muhammad bin Sulaiman al-Afifi. From him Sheikh Mahfudz learned the book "Syarah al-Mahalli ala Jam'il Jawami" and the book "Mughni al-Labib an Kutub al-A'arib" . then (2) Sheikh Abu Bakar bin Muhammad Syatha al-Dhimyathi. It was from him that Sheikh Mahfudz learned the books "Hasyiah al-Syarqawi ala al-Tahrir" and "Hasyiah Syinwani" .
